Zac Adair
Co-founder & General Contractor
My first memory of new custom home construction dates back to 1979 when my father built his second home in St. Augustine Beach, Florida. I remember climbing through windowsills and crawling through roof rafters. To say I was fascinated by the process would be an understatement.
From 1986 to 1992, many of my summers were filled working with my father on the construction of an additional eight custom residential homes. Taking a brief hiatus for college, I resumed my involvement in custom home building, remodels, and renovations in the mid-90s.
Since that time, I have worked as a carpenter and building contractor, honing my skills for this uniquely customer-focused industry. My building and GC experience encompasses various locations-building mountain homes in Western North Carolina to the coastlines of Southeastern NC, my experience and knowledge has landed me on home building projects within New Hanover County, Brunswick County and Pender County-including areas such as Landfall, Figure Eight Island, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach, Leland and Downtown Wilmington.

In an unexpected twist, my journey in construction started as a camera operator on a home builder show. Behind the lens, I witnessed the craftsmanship and dedication that went into creating custom homes, sparking a deep fascination within me.
Driven by a newfound passion, I transitioned from capturing creations on film to building them with my own hands. In 2015, I embarked on remodeling my own home, a project that transformed my perspective as a general contractor. Through this personal renovation, I honed my skills and developed a profound love for construction, learning the importance of planning, attention to detail, and adaptability.
Building custom homes allows me to merge my love for construction with my creative spirit. I take pride in transforming clients'; dreams into tangible, unique spaces that reflect their desires. My unconventional path in construction, combined with my experiences as both a camera operator and a home renovator, has shaped a distinct perspective. It fuels my commitment to crafting exceptional homes and cultivating strong client relationships.
